Operation Christmas Child: Sending Blessings Around the World

Operation Christmas Child: Sending Blessings Around the World

The deadline is closing in!

This week is the national collection week for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, meaning the deadline to finish your box is arriving soon. We encourage you to participate in blessing children in need around the world this Christmas season by packing a shoebox full of gifts. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry dedicated to bringing Christmas joy, and more importantly the Word of God, to children across the globe through a shoebox ministry. There are just a few days left to pack boxes and get them turned in for this year’s packing deadline.

Want to help but not sure where to start?

First, you can stop by our station at 1440 S. Weideman Avenue to pick up the official Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to start your packing. (You can also use any average-sized shoebox.)

Next comes the fun part: filling the box with gifts! Check out this guide from Samaritan’s Purse to make sure you follow all the rules for what you pack in your gift box.

Then, return your labeled shoebox to our station or your nearest drop-off location to send your blessings to a child somewhere in the world.

Finally and most importantly, pray for the child who will receive the gift and pray for the volunteers who make this ministry possible. These boxes travel all across the world to land in the hands of children in need who might otherwise never receive a gift or hear about Jesus. Your prayers help this ministry thrive.
