The Lord instructs Moses to set up the tabernacle and anoint it as well as the priests. Moses does everything that the Lord commands, and the glory of the Lord fills the tabernacle. The cloud and fire lead the children of Israel through the wilderness.
Moses commissions Bezalel, Aholiab, and the other artisans for the work of building the tabernacle. The people participate by bringing so many materials that they must be told to stop. God gifts, calls and equips His people for the works of service that He prepares for them to do.
The Lord hides Moses in the cleft of the rock and then proclaims His name and reveals His attributes. He lifts His hand and lets Moses see His backside. Moses asks Him to forgive Israel for her iniquity and receive her as His inheritance.
