CALDWELL’S ANNUAL HOLIDAY LIGHT DISPLAY OPENING WEEKEND 2020
November 21, 2020 - 1:00 am - January 11, 2021 - 5:00 am
Destination Caldwell will host ‘Winter Wonderland Opening Weekend’ in downtown Caldwell Friday, November 20 through Sunday, November 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event revolves around the City of Caldwell’s ‘Winter Wonderland’ display of over one million lights along Indian Creek. We hope creating a three-day event disperses people over three days and alleviates the crowds.
In addition to the six-block, one million light display along Indian Creek, opening weekend activities include ice skating at Indian Creek Plaza, carolers, food trucks and vendors throughout downtown, and the opportunity to get a no-contact photo with Santa outside of the Train Depot. The activities and entertainment will be the same each night of the festival. The light display and activities are free to attend. Normal ice-skating fees for one-hour sessions apply during the event. After opening weekend, the Winter Wonderland lights will be on every evening through January 10, 2021.
Destination Caldwell worked with the City of Caldwell and Southwest District Health to create a COVID-19 Strategic Plan for the event. In order to keep the community safe and healthy Destination Caldwell will:
- Recommend patrons wear face coverings and gloves
- Place COVID-19 information at event area entrances
- Place social distancing reminders in the main event activity areas
- Offer hand sanitizer throughout the main event activity areas
- Create ‘Wait Here’ markings placed at 6 ft intervals to ensure safe distancing in lines
- A full COVID-19 safety plan can be found at https://www.indiancreekplaza.com/winter-wonderland-festival
