Life Worthy of the Gospel Pt. 2
Cloverdale United Reformed Church

00:00 / 14:00

This radio show is a ministry of Cloverdale United Reformed Church where Russell Herman is the teaching pastor. This show airs daily at 4 pm MST. In today’s sermon, Pastor Russell covers Philippians 1:27 – 2:4.

So far, we have seen Paul not just greeting the church at Philippi, but Paul putting on display just how important the Gospel is. For him, Christ is everything. Whatever the world has to offer, whatever is outside of Christ, is nothing compared to all that he possesses, in Jesus Christ, in union with Jesus Christ. Paul desires to be with Christ, that’s the driving force of his life; he someday wants to be in the presence of God, to see Him in all of His majesty and all of His glory. And then in Philippians 1:27 that Paul turns the attention off of himself and onto the readers.

Russell Herman has been the Pastor at Cloverdale United Reformed Church since August 2014. He earned degrees from Northwestern College (B.A. with majors in social studies & mathematics), Dordt College (M.Ed.), and Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div.).
